FAQ

What is a Professional Organizer?

The National Association of Professional Organizers defines a Professional Organizer as someone who enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. A Professional Organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.

What should I expect from Moore Organized?

Moore Organized will analyze your situation and plan a strategy to address your problem areas.  Moore Organized will provide solutions, suggestions, choices, and methods for organizing your space.  Solutions will be personally tailored to your needs, preferences, and lifestyle.  We will work alongside you and provide encouragement, support and motivation in sorting and purging.  We will help you find a "place" for everything and make sure everything is in its "place".

How should I prepare for an appointment?

It is requested that the client be present during all sessions unless a special arrangement has been made with Moore Organized prior to sessions. Please do not "pick up" or tidy the area. It is better for Moore Organized to see the area in the condition that prompted you to seek our assistance. However, please keep in mind that Moore Organized is not a cleaning or maid service and therefore, the client will be responsible for any cleaning that is required during sessions.

Will I have to throw away my belongings?

Moore Organized will ask questions and make observations and suggestions in order to help you decide what is or is not important to you.  Ultimately, you, the client will be the final decision-maker in regards to purging your belongings.  We will not force you to throw away your belongings; rather, we will work with you to determine what should be kept and find a permanent "home" for those items.

How about Confidentiality?

Moore Organized promises to keep confidential all client information, both business and personal.  This includes all financial information that may be viewed, all details regarding property and belongings, and any personal information.

How long will it take for my goal of being " Moore Organized" to be realized?

The time necessary involves many different factors. It takes longer to organize paper because each individual sheet must be analyzed to determine if it needs to be retained or not. It could take several hours or more to sort a filing cabinet drawer, whereas, if you have several large items on a single shelf, it could take 5 minutes to make a determination regarding their merit. Also, time involved depends on the client themselves. Some people are ready to make decisions regarding purging and can do it quickly, others need more time to overcome the emotional aspect involved with necessary changes. After completing an initial consultation, Moore Organized should be able to provide you with an estimate of completion time, based on your project and willingness to complete tasks on your own.
